Here are the packages required to use hpasm on a Debian distribution. This has been tested on Debian 3.0r1 with an "Debian unstable" kernel 2.4.22 on a DL 380 G2 and may not work for you. Procedure to use it is the following: As root, download debian-hpasm.tgz hpasm_6.40.0-17_i386.deb ucd-snmp_4.2.5-8_i386.deb ucd-snmp-devel_4.2.5-8_i386.deb ucd-snmp-utils_4.2.5-8_i386.deb and place them under the /root subdirectory. Then do cd /root (cd / ; tar xvfz debian-hpasm.tgz) /usr/local/bin/install-hpasm Ignore the warning given uring installation due to directory differences between RedHat and Debian (The LSB should help but clearly here doesn't :-) Add the launch of ucd-snmp and hpasm to your startup/runlevel.
